Platonic Love

Platonic love is love without sensuality, i.e. love without sex – simple as that. It has its own beauty and charm based on exquisite purity and innocence. This type of love is uniquely spiritual and suggests a lot of romantic moments as well.
As a rule we love platonically at a quite young age, when our perception of human (adult) feelings, emotions and relationships is quite childish. That's why platonic love flourishes at school when we are into writing love notes, love poems and are too embarrassed even to kiss the objects of our innocent affection.
Platonic love exists within the relationships of adult people as well. This happens due to some religious or personal principles or motives, when a girl (usually it doesn't concern guys) is reluctant to have sex with a guy before the wedding. Of course, this peppers the relationship with a certain spirit of wilderness, especially for guys who invariably crave for sex no matter how beautiful and inspiring innocently romantic relationship can be.
There's even an opinion that men work hard on all that romance for the sake of future sex, but we won't think about it too much in order not to get upset, we'll just say that platonic love is very nice and charming regarding the issue that everything has its own time and space in the world of human relationships, no reason to run ahead of time at all.
